Hey Queen!

Thanks for checking in 🙂

I wanted to make a quick list of all the great YouTubes/Podcasts etc. that have really helped me in the past year or so to stay positive during a nasty Endometriosis flare.

Everything from blogging to pushing through pain and endometriosis – here it is!

(I’ll try to update it as much as possible for you as well, so make sure you subscribe at the bottom of this page to be updated with the latest and greatest sources of motivation/inspiration!)

Even just using Google search to look for inspiration, tutorials and coaches has been super handy too.

Vulnerability & Power | Brené Brown & Russell Brand

I’ve been talking about this podcast a lot lately.
B’s approach to life, parenting and everything in between is so inspiring!
I don’t feel like any introduction I give will do this any justice, so I’m just going to leave it at that 😉

Notorious (Connor McGregor Documentary)

Remember all those fights he won? You find out in this documentary how much pain he had to push through.
If you want to feel motivated or need a reason to believe in the power of believing in yourself – give this one a watch.

Gaga: Five Foot Two (Lady Gaga Documentary) (Netflix)

Did you know Lady Gaga has fibromyalgia?
This raw documentary follows how hard she battles and works to achieve her dreams, shows her flares and treatments and proves the true power music and believing in yourself has on the human mind.

Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated (Demi Lovato Documentary) (YouTube Red)

Demi gets real about her struggle with addiction, bipolar disorder, mental health issues and past loves.

The Power Of Now – Eckhart Tolle
I found this book at a time I was really lost and it was a god send.
It was my first real introduction to the importance of mindfulness and how to best achieve it.
It’s VERY spiritual and has a bit of religious jargon, but if you can keep an open mind and focus on the message he’s trying to get across, it has some really powerful messages.

Here’s the description on Amazon:

“To make the journey into the Now we will need to leave our analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind. From the very first page of Eckhart Tolle’s extraordinary book, we move rapidly into a significantly higher altitude where we breathe a lighter air. We become connected to the indestructible essence of our Being, “The eternal, ever present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death.” Although the journey is challenging, Eckhart Tolle uses simple language and an easy question and answer format to guide us.

A word of mouth phenomenon since its first publication, The Power of Now is one of those rare books with the power to create an experience in readers, one that can radically change their lives for the better.”

The Neuroscience Of Mindfulness – Stan Rodski

This is another book about mindfulness, (obviously) but it’s written by a neuroscientist, so it comes from a more scientific stand-point.
You might want to get a pen and paper out, but he does simplify everything in a super-easy-to-understand way, with tones of exercises and info on how they affect the brain.

Here’s the description on Amazon:

Explore the benefits of a mindful approach to life Cutting-edge studies in neuroscience have in recent years proved what many doctors, therapists and other health professionals had long suspected: simple, repetitive tasks, performed with focus and attention – mindfulness, in other words – can not only quieten our noisy thought processes and help us relax but also improve our outlook on life and protect us against a range of life-threatening illnesses.

A cognitive neuroscientist and a leading authority on mental performance, Stan Rodski sets out the science behind these remarkable discoveries in simple terms, and explains how you in turn can benefit from them. As well as examining the potentially pivotal role of mindfulness in alleviating stress and managing energy, Stan highlights the most effective mindfulness activities, guides you through quick and easy exercises, and shows you how to harness the power of mindfulness over the long term to forge mental and physical resilience – and create a happier, healthier, more compelling future.
